Principal's Welcome Message
Welcome to the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Elementary School website! At Sts. Peter and Paul CES, we are a learning community rooted in faith with the teachings of Jesus at the centre of all that we do. In partnership with our Church, students, parents, staff dedicate themselves to living and sharing Jesus’ teachings through the celebration of Mass, acts of service and exercising the responsible use of the Earth’s resources.
Sts. Peter & Paul CES is a Platinum Certified Eco-School. We are proud of our many efforts to reduce our carbon footprint as we teach and learn about conservation and sustainability. School strategies include student-based Eco-Team, recycling program, Think Green announcements, use of GOOS (Good On One Side) paper, electronic newsletters and downloadable forms.
Students and staff at Sts. Peter & Paul CES are guided by our 3R’s: Religion, Respect and Responsibility. While there is a dedicated time for the daily study of our Catholic faith, our Catholic faith is also deeply embedded in the study of all areas of the curriculum. Members of Sts. Peter & Paul CES are asked to reflect daily on “What would Jesus do” when endeavouring to solve problems and engaging in respectful interactions with others. Students are guided in developing respect for themselves and others by using problem-solving strategies and Restorative Practices to resolve conflicts. Everyone at Sts. Peter & Paul CES shares in the responsibility for student achievement. Academic excellence is our goal for all students as we work together to provide them with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully navigate the future.
Sts. Peter & Paul CES is a place where children learn and discover their world under the expert guidance of highly skilled staff and with the strong support of hard-working, dedicated parents. Our motto, “Together we Believe, Together we Succeed”, reflects our focus that through Religion, Respect and Responsibility, all students can succeed!
