KISS ‘N’ RIDE

Just a reminder that the Kiss ‘n’ Ride is intended for parents who are dropping off their child(ren). Parents that wish to accompany their child(ren) to the school yard are asked to please park on the street and walk over to the school yard. Please do not park along the fence in the Kiss ‘n’ Ride area. Thanks for helping to keep our Panthers safe!

ATTENDANCE

Daily attendance is vital to the growth and academic success of your child. It is important to establish routines at home that will assist your child to arrive on time and be ready to learn each day! Parents, please make every effort possible to have your child attend school during our regular hours. If your child has an appointment, please report the late arrival/early pick-up through the Safe Arrival website https://go.schoolmessenger.ca or through the School Messenger App on your mobile device. To drop off your child late, please buzz at the front door & make your way to the office. To pick up your child for an appointment or if they become ill during the school day, again, please buzz the main doors and your child will meet you in the office.

LUNCH EXPECTATIONS

Please consider using reusable, plastic containers for lunches/snacks...containers that are easy to open would be best. Younger students are encouraged to practise opening containers at home to foster independence. Students are also reminded to remain in their seats during the lunch period & that sharing of food is not permitted for health reasons.

CELLPHONES

To maintain a controlled learning environment and ensure academic integrity, parents are asked to send children to school without cell phones or other wireless telecommunication devices. If you need to contact your child during the school day, please do so by contacting the office.

There are parents who, for safety reasons, wish to have their child carry a cell phone in their school bag on their way to and from school. Please note: Any devices that are brought onto school property and become visible to a staff member will be confiscated and locked in the school safe. An adult will then be responsible to pick up the device and return it home.

SAVE THE DATE

Please mark Friday, September 22nd in your calendars! We will be having our 75th Anniversary Open House/Meet the Staff event. More info will be shared next week!

That’s it for this week…have a great weekend!

Many blessings,

Mrs. Daoust
